Welcome to Karri Chronicles!
I’m Karri—wife, mother, children's book author, speaker, and passionate literacy advocate. I believe stories connect us, empower us, and remind us what matters. Whether I’m writing, reading aloud, collecting books to donate, or speaking to a group, my mission is the same: to encourage kids and adults to use their imagination to create, learn, build, and help others.
This journey began during the pandemic, when extra time with my family inspired me to finally pursue a dream I’d been carrying in my heart for 20 years. My first published children's book, Little Miss Jean and the Time Machine was born out of love, loss, motherhood, and a belief in the magic of time and imagination. My second book, She Dared to Be, honors my bold and irreverent grandmother and encourages readers to live bravely and authentically. Both books serve as powerful tools to spark conversations about imagination, empowerment, and using your unique talents to create a purposeful life on your own terms.
I’d love to visit your school, business, or event to read, share, or speak—and if you have extra children’s or YA books collecting dust, I’ll make sure they find a new home where they’re needed most.

“Well," said Pooh, "what I like best," and then he had to stop and think. "Because although eating honey was a very good thing to do, there was a moment just before you began to eat it which was better than when you were, but he didn't know what it was called.”
